Bharath from Groupon called me up recently and he was asking how can he do some ROI on any advertisements he does online w.r.t to Google Ads, display network or facebook ads.
And then it struck me, I had not shared with many of our customers and friends about how we eat our own dog food with our product to do a lot of ROI on our marketing channels.

I did not have our own image from our previous adwords campaign, else would have shown those as well, but essentially what you need to know is this:
1. Phone calls from Indian crowd is much faster and they feel they can “talk” to someone and solve their query.
2. When you display a phone number in your ads, higher chances more people will call your number and results will be better.
3. But, the question is, how do you measure that these calls came from your online campaign?
Simple solution – take a different mobile/landline virtual phone number, and use that for the duration of the ads. Make the same call flow (i.e. make the calls still land on the same team), but in your reporting and when the call comes in, you will know it came from your adwords or digital spend on a banner campaign, or facebook ads.
We have done this for our ads, and I know Groupon is doing this for theirs too, apart from using us in various other ways.
You should try it too, buy a new number just for the campaigns, and do some killer ROI on how many calls came from your online advertisement and digital campaigns. Measure ROI always online, on everything!
